Film Institutions: The Major-Movie studios: Universal Pictures

Universal Pictures were one of the first institutions, founded in 1912. They make a very wide range of films which allow them to target a wide audience. They make very high-budget movies, and have been extremely successful across the years. Universal Pictures also own Illumination Films and Working Title films, which are key companies in their institution. They now are even more popular, having opened a theme park in Orlando, Florida, 'Universal Studios'. The institution are known for popular films such as 'Les Miserables' and 'Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas'.
