Currently owned by Sony Pictures Entertainment, Columbia Pictures was formed in 1919, and Sony Pictures still distribute their films under the Columbia label. It began as a the underdog in Hollywood, but now they are very successful. They have released many films such as Spider-Man and the recent installments of the James Bond series.Throughout the years, Columbia Pictures have produced, distributed, or co-distributed successful franchises such as
'Spider Man' and
'21 Jump Street'.
